Dew and rain, bless the Lord; praise and exalt him above all forever.

Nights and days, bless the Lord; praise and exalt him above all forever.
Light and darkness, bless the Lord; praise and exalt him above all forever.
Lightnings and clouds, bless the Lord; praise and exalt him above all forever.
Let the earth bless the Lord, praise and exalt him above all forever.

  1. Dear Scott, You are so right, only God can enlighten the darkness of these sad times, maybe if we concentrate on the beautiful full moon and it’s light we can thank God and forget our anxieties!

  2. Dear Norma,
Yes, you are right, the translation could be better. I was in a hurry, and my verison of teh NRSV did not have this section of Daniel. Sorry about that.

  3. Thanks, Scott, for your preaching; however, I was distracted by your beginning with the responsorial psalm. There are translations that use more inclusive language.
