For 22 April 2016, Friday of 4th Week of Easter, based on John 14:1-6
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also.
And you know the way to the place where I am going.†Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?†Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

A wonderful and apt reflection for today’s historic moment for Dunedin. I couldn’t help also thinking of the words They Kingdom come, they will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. The reflection also had been thinking of my own historical roots in Dunedin when the Lebanese first landed in 1890’s. Thank you.

Thank you Judith Anne. For everyone a place, a home. You reflect simply and with depth on our common home – that longing in each of us now and into our future with Jesus. It’s that which unites us all. What a gift and promise!

Dear Judith Anne,
Thank you for the thoughtful sermon. I also caught up with your past sermons and was particularly moved by ‘mystery- the parable of life’ and the personal and beautiful details from F & P.
Much Love
