The Lord Comes…
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
For 22 November 2022, Tuesday of week 34 in Ordinary Time, based on Psalm 95(96):10-13
The Lord comes to rule the earth.
Proclaim to the nations: ‘God is king.’
The world he made firm in its place;
he will judge the peoples in fairness.
The Lord comes to rule the earth.
Let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad,
let the sea and all within it thunder praise,
let the land and all it bears rejoice,
all the trees of the wood shout for joy
at the presence of the Lord for he comes,
he comes to rule the earth.
The Lord comes to rule the earth.
With justice he will rule the world,
he will judge the peoples with his truth.
The Lord comes to rule the earth.

Whew, that was sobering, inspiring, awakening. We know not the day, the time, the hour. Yet, we know we are part of Mike’s forever family and that he abides in God totally.

I will remember his “having a little chuckle.” A grand way to go. May all who knew Fr Mike, know much comfort from the many of us who only heard his voice. Peace.

I was saddened to hear of Michael’s death; we are classmates. I will miss his gospel preaching, but especially his zeal and friendship, always a man of few but loving words. He, his preaching team and the members of St. Albert’s Province who suffered his loss are in my prayers. Fraternally, Fr. Justin Kauchak, O.P.

Now, he sees exactly what he wrote about. Heaven is his home. Pray for us all, Father Mike.
