God’s Name is Mercy
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
For 6 March 2023, Monday of week 2 in Lent, based on Luke 6:36-38
Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
‘Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.’

Dear Fr. Nick,
Thank for your sharing a part of your life experience and your reflection on God’s Mercy and Forgiveness. I will always remember as well that “we can never repay what God has done has for us” and “His Generosity teaches us about Mercy.”
I was an orphan and then adopted by a wonderful mother and father. At one time I thought I could repay God by responding to a Call to enter the Dominican Sisters. I learned that it is God’s Generosity that Gives one the Call and not mine. Good News!
God bless your continued preaching of the Word of God!
Sincerely, Sr. Brigid, OP
