Preacher theWord a daily dose of dominican preaching

Euan Marley, O.P.

I was born in the Gorbals in Glasgow in 1957. I was baptised in a Franciscan Parish, attended a Franciscan primary school, a Jesuit secondary, and spent three years with the Passionist Order, from 1983 to 1986, in Ireland, both North and South. I joined the English Province of the Dominicans in 1988. I have been Catholic Chaplain to the Leicester Royal Infirmary since 2001. My first visit to the United States was in September 2001, just in time for the September 11th terrorist attack. I was in the Pennsylvania countryside that morning, about thirty miles from where the last plane landed. My second visit to the States was to Washington, just in time for the Washington snipers. Despite this, they still let me back from time to time.
