Thanks, Scott, for your preaching; however, I was distracted by your beginning with the responsorial psalm. There are translations that use more inclusive language.

Dear Norma,
Yes, you are right, the translation could be better. I was in a hurry, and my verison of teh NRSV did not have this section of Daniel. Sorry about that.

Dear Scott, You are so right, only God can enlighten the darkness of these sad times, maybe if we concentrate on the beautiful full moon and it’s light we can thank God and forget our anxieties!
