For 23 November 2020, Monday of week 34 in Ordinary Time, based on Luke 21:1-4
Jesus looked up and saw rich people putting their gifts into the treasury; he also saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins. He said, ‘Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them; for all of them have contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on.’

Thank you Sr. Barbara for your preaching as it reminds me of an old song I loved. “Little things mean a lot.†I believe as we age and are in lockdown due to the Covid virus no little thing we do to bring hope, love, joy is insignificant. I appreciate all the practical suggestions you gave to us in this reflection. May we take the poor widow as our example and spread the love around this Thanksgiving. Blessings and peace,
Sr. Brigid

Thank you Sr Barbara, when I reflect on these words and am reminded how people are suffering, that they don’t have the money to make a big dinner for their families. Yet others are making plans to fly off somewhere to be with families. Yet the one who has little always thinks of someone else and gives something to someone else.
Happy Thanksgiving and I am thankful that you are coming along with your heath issues
