Blame Game
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
For 1 March 2021, Monday of the Second Week of Lent, based on Luke 6:36-38
At that time Jesus said to his disciples:
‘Be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.
Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.’

Thank you for providing this insight into the meaning of compassion using the Greek text. In addition, I appreciated your point that blame speaks to the past and not to the glorious future for which we were created. The point about being defined by a single lapse in judgment or a mistake is well-taken and worth remembering in these polarizing times. God bless.

Thank you for this preaching today. I appreciated your insight into the meaning of compassion based on the Greek text. In addition, your point that blame speaks to the past and not to the glorious future for which we were created is well-taken. Your other point about being defined by a single lapse in judgment or a mistake is also timely. God bless.

Thank you so much. We are all striving to be Saints and you have told us how. How are we to be like our heavenly father? We are to be compassionate like God. We are not to judge we are to love. Thank you thank you!
