I’ve Looked at Life from Both Sides Now
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval.
By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to set out for a place that he was to receive as an inheritance; and he set out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he stayed for a time in the land he had been promised, as in a foreign land, living in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. For he looked forward to the city that has foundations, whose architect and builder is God. By faith he received power of procreation, even though he was too old—and Sarah herself was barren—because he considered him faithful who had promised. Therefore from one person, and this one as good as dead, descendants were born, ‘as many as the stars of heaven and as the innumerable grains of sand by the seashore.’

Wow, your honesty, positive willingness to dive into the struggle and “keep faith alive’ in your own mist of doubt, bringing scripture alive for me,(us), I enjoyed hearing about the credit author of Hebrew, it brings in more inclusion to the early church to me, thank you. You have inspired me this weekend. Thank you for your ministry. I am choosing to “lean in to faith” .Fr. Ron Verhaghe

Thank you, Ann, for your inspiring words of hope. Faith, HOPE, and Love, like the Trinity, a divine dance of grace. And thanks for adding the Joni Mitchell link. I googled her after listening to that clip and was struck with the courage it took to perform publically after suffering so much. But isn’t that the point…to lean in with courage especially when things are difficult, trusting in God’s plan for humanity, fullness of life.
