Near to All Who Call
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
For 3 September 2022, Memorial of Saint Gregory the Great, Pope, Doctor, based on Psalm 145:17-18, 19-20, 21
The Lord is near to all who call upon him.
The Lord is just in all his ways
and holy in all his works.
The Lord is near to all who call upon him,
to all who call upon him in truth.
The Lord is near to all who call upon him.
He fulfills the desire of those who fear him,
he hears their cry and saves them.
The Lord keeps all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.
The Lord is near to all who call upon him.
May my mouth speak the praise of the Lord,
and may all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.
The Lord is near to all who call upon him.

Dear Ann,
So grateful for your reflections on the life and perseverance of St. Gregory through so many trials.
It gives us all hope to cling and trust in the Lord at all times in our lives and especially now with so many events happening in our world and church as well. I, too, wonder if it is the end times. I so appreciate your breaking open the scriptures for us in your preaching. I can relate well to them
God Bless!
Peace,
Sr. Brigid

Growing up I loved to read the lives of the saints. These diverse and faith-filled lives gave me courage and hope to live my life through good times and bad. Your preaching on Gregory today carried me to that same place of trust that all shall be well and God’s anticipatory love is always active and alive in each of us. Ty
