Jesus said to Nicodemus, ‘No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.
‘For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
‘Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Dear Elyse,
Much gratitude for your powerful message and meditation on the Holy Cross! And the invitation to take up our cross today with Jesus knowing it will bring new life to each one of us.
I loved the image of the blue spruce tree and the sunshine shining brightly upon it combined with the words of scripture so mystical and powerful. God bless your preaching! Sr. Brigid

Thanks Elyse. Your preaching reminds me how your tender vulnerable heart brings all to the cross.

Thanks, Elyse, for sharing your Spirit inspired insights as we adjust to celebrating Eucharist in the dining room. You’ve given me a new perspective as I look out at that majestic blue spruce tree and remember the black marble cross. I am grateful!
