Be Alert
Podcast: Play in new window | Download
For 29 November 2014, Saturday of 34th week, based on Luke 21:34-36
‘Be on guard so that your hearts are not weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of this life, and that day does not catch you unexpectedly, like a trap. For it will come upon all who live on the face of the whole earth. Be alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.’

Thank you for this reminder, coming early enough for me to catch myself before getting caught up in so much of the superfluous static about to come our way. Focussing on the change of season and movement into Advent requires we pay attention to God’s, and Earth’s , time as you say. Hard to do when it gets gloomy and so early this time of year, but so much depth to be gleaned from going within and paying attention.
Thank you Sister for this meditation and watch out for those flashing lights!
