For 5 June 2020, Friday of week 9 in Ordinary Time, based on Mark 12:35-37
While Jesus was teaching in the temple, he said, “How can the scribes say that the Messiah is the son of David? David himself, by the Holy Spirit, declared,
‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand,
until I put your enemies under your feet.†’
David himself calls him Lord; so how can he be his son?†And the large crowd was listening to him with delight.

Fr Nick,
Just hearing your voice gives me hope in this world of turmoil and fear. A reminder to look to our Lord, for guidance and hope – to give Him our thanks – is very much needed right now.
Bless you

Thank you Nick. It is amazing how the scripture speaks to us and how the Lord shows us our need at this time. May the Lord be wit us and our world as we support each other. Take care. Blessings Liz

Thank you for sharing your vulnerability of sometimes ‘hitting a brick wall’ when reading scripture and for being open and willing to hear it in new ways, and then to share those fruits with us.

Thank you Fr Nick for your talk today. It made me smile. I read the readings today as I usually do and wondered how I would preach on these readings. Listening to you, you echoed my exact sentiments. Peace and blessings.
